We are so excited to host you on-campus for your Orientation! Orientation Check-in Starts at 8:30am! Don’t worry refreshments will be provided! During check-in, you will receive an official copy of the Orientation day schedule. You will be arranged in groups of students with similar majors and paired with an Orientation Peer Ambassador (OPA) that will guide you and other new retrievers throughout the day!
Our Orientation program will provide you several opportunities to explore your new home, connect with classmates, build community, and how to make the most of your time at UMBC! In addition, you will hear from UMBC faculty to prepare you for your virtual advising session. All new students will be provided with lunch with fellow Retrievers at True Grits, our all-you-care-to eat dining hall. Finally, new Retrievers will get the chance to pick up their Campus Card and other cool swag! We encourage you to come ready to participate in a full-day of dynamic and fun activities. Sessions will be hosted in several buildings across campus.
