Dawg Days: Jumpstart

GET A JUMPSTART ON COLLEGE & GET READY FOR YOUR FIRST YEAR!

Your path to graduation begins with a solid foundation in mathematics and writing. All incoming freshmen are required to take a Math and English course during their first year at UMBC.

Dawg Days: Jumpstart is a six-week summer bridge program that offers students the chance to take a math, writing, and/or general education course during the summer along with an interactive transition seminar in the fall to help ease the transition to college. You’ll also have the opportunity to live on campus, make new friends, and get a jumpstart on your first year!

Dawg Days: Jumpstart offers two academic tracks – Math or Writing.

Students can enroll in one or both tracks – our staff will help you determine which track is the best fit for you based intended major and placement test results.

Participants will…
• Fulfill degree requirements and learn about campus resources
• Receive early and ongoing advising throughout the first year
• Connect with faculty, staff, and students across campus

Program Dates: July 7th – August 15th, 2019
