Combine your Orientation program with this unique on-campus overnight experience! Whether you will be living on-campus or commuting in the Fall, UMBC is going to become your new Basecamp! Dawg Days: Basecamp will allow you to get a real sense of what life is like as a Retriever!
On Day 1, you will participate in a variety of fun and dynamic activities that will connect you with other new students and the UMBC campus. You will also stay overnight in one of our residence halls! On Day 2, you will go through Orientation, where you will meet with an Academic Advisor, register for your classes, and connect to campus resources and leaders.
What does Dawg Days: Basecamp offer that a 1-day Orientation doesn’t?!
– Opportunity to meet students in your major
– Additional time for schedule exploration and planning
– Fun evening activities, including some UMBC signature events- Glow Dodgeball and Trivia
– Overnight stay in one of our residence halls
Dates: Tuesday, June 18 at 12:00 pm – Wednesday, June 19 at 4:00 pm
Cost: $50 (includes all meals, lodging, and activities)
Who: Open to all incoming Freshmen
