Placement Testing

To ensure that you will be able to successfully register for classes during Orientation, you will take a series of online placement tests. Students must sign-up for placement testing using the online Orientation and Placement Testing Reservation system. All students must complete the placement tests at least one week BEFORE attending Orientation. For additional information, please refer to the Placement Testing Website or email the Learning Resources Center (LRC) at

Once you select a placement testing window, you will receive instructions via email the day prior to the start of your placement testing window on how to complete the online testing.

Students can be exempted from Placement Testing ONLY IF they have college credit for a GEP level course in the form of AP, IB, CLEP, or Transfer Credit. Scores pending from current high school seniors do not provide an exemption. More information about Placement Testing Exemptions can be found here.

Students with documented disabilities who need accommodations for placement testing must register with the Office of Student Disability Services (SDS). Please visit the SDS website for more information at Please note that the SDS registration process can take up to two weeks. You should select a placement testing window that allows you to submit the documentation prior to taking the exams.
