What to Bring to Orientation

In order to have a successful Orientation experience, it is important that you bring the following items:

1. Photo Identification
During Orientation, you will need to provide an acceptable form of government-issued photo identification (driver’s license or passport) in order to receive your UMBC Campus ID Card. It must be a physical copy of your government ID. We cannot accept a photo. Students will have the opportunity to get their UMBC Campus ID card during our Retriever Roundup Session.

2. Comfortable Clothing and Shoes
Orientation for all students and family members does require walking around campus and time both inside and outside. We recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes for your visit.

3. Mandatory Health Form and Immunization Records
If you have not yet turned in your Mandatory Health Form and Immunization Records to University Health Services, you can turn them in during your Orientation program.

4. Admissions Paperwork
We recommend you bring any Admissions paperwork, such as official transcripts from your previous institution(s), to Orientation. This will assist with the Advising & Registration process during Orientation.
